REMINDER: BluePilot is based on sunnypilot master. Sunnypilot master is considred a development branch, as is bluepilot. Always use caution with developmental software, keep eyes on the road and be ready to take over control of the vehicle at all times.

Whats New?

When comma introduced the Comma4, the entire user interface for both the Comma4 and the Comma3x was converted to a whole new programming language. BluePilot 6.0 is primarly a port of BluePilot 5.0, re-written in the new language, with support added for the Comma4 device. Below are some key new features:

  • Comma4 inspired animations for the Comma3x including confidence ball and steering meter
  • Connection to sunnylink dashboard for updating device settings via the internet
  • BluePilot animations for the Comma4. Space is limited but we managed to get brake status, blind spot warnings, lead vehicle information, and hybrid data flow onto the screen.
  • Modified longitudinal controls when using openpilot long. This is an attempt to create a feel more like CANFD ACC from Ford, with more coasting and a less binary feel.
